Now offering live video consulting and outdoor In-Person Sessions

Did you know during these times of social distancing and  you can still get the help you need. With extended time at home with our dogs, now's the perfect time to make sure you all can live in harmony.
We're currently offering live video initial consultations and your choice of live video or in-person follow-up coaching and consultation (see below for requirements for in-person consulting.)

Benefits of Video Consultation and Training
  • Helps you make sure your puppy has the right environment, enrichment, and socialization opportunities and foundation skills for success in the world.
  • A great way to work on basic manners for dogs any age.
  • For dogs that are wary or super excited about guests and strangers, it's a great way to teach foundation skills without the stress of a visitor being initially present.
  • Gives us a chance to view your dog's behavior without the distraction of our presence.
  • You can show us videos of behavior you'd like us to see (and for most situations, we don't actually need to see the behavior)

Outdoor In-Person Follow-up Sessions
At this time we are offering in-person follow-up sessions that take place exclusively outdoors. Currently we are requiring that all parties wear face coverings and maintain a minimum of 6ft social distancing.  Outdoor sessions work best for issues that happen outside of the home and that may require setting up training scenarios that are better accomplished outside.
What we offer
Behavioral Consultation and Positive Training
We help identify goals, come up with a management and training plan, and lead you to success through personalized coaching and support.

We can help you build skills and solutions to common issues from reactivity and aggression to socialization and basic manners. Even remotely!

See our consultation page for more details.
Group and Online Classes
We  are able teach a variety of topics including puppy socialization, basic manners to tricks, enrichment and dealing with specific behavior issues such as reactivity.

Through online lectures and video submissions you can learn the same things we teach in our group classes and have the opportunity to get personalized feedback from our certified trainers.

In the next few weeks we will resume offering in-person classes that will accommodate social distancing and adhere to current public health mandates.

TESTIMONIALS...

I had a great experience doing individual training sessions with Angela! My greyhound has some strange quirks that she helped me address and gave me the tools to work through. I could tell she put a lot of thought into how to fix the issues I was having with my dog. She was extremely reliable even through COVID-19 madness - we did some virtual sessions and some in person which I thought worked out very well. I have seen a lot of improvement in my dog and I feel much more confident in my ability to train him thanks to her guidance.

We use Lowell through Harmony Dog Training, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. We just moved to Michigan in October and started seeing Lowell immediately to help our dog with the transition. We have seen Lowell every week since October, both in person and now remotely to work on our pup’s anxiety and training. I must say the remote sessions are just as valuable as the in person. Lowell has given us great insight into behavior issues. He has shared exercises for calming anxiety and building confidence. Now that he is working remotely from home, Lowell can demonstrate the exercises with his own dogs for clarification. A benefit of technology. In person and remotely I give Lowell a 5 star review.

"It’s been about a year since you visited our house for Maggie’s training.  We had company on Saturday and Maggie was so well behaved it was unbelievable.  Our company couldn’t believe the difference either.  They said she is like another dog.  We have seen a gradual change with Maggie for the better in the past year but yesterday was the best!   She goes to her mat when told and I think this is what has helped!  We are having another visitor this coming Saturday and feels so good not to feel stressed out because of how she is going to react.  I know she will always be a work in progress but I can’t thank you enough for how much your advice has helped!    Just wanted to let you know.  Again, thank  you!"

"I knew very little about taking care of a dog at the time I adopted a three-year-old Shih Tzu mix who was extremely reactive on leash and very impulsive in general.  Angela and Lowell worked with us over the course of several months, to knit my dog and I into a confident team able to manage his reactivity independently. They were able to assess each of our strengths and abilities, meet us where we were, and move us on to the next stage with patience, persistence, kindness and clear teaching goals. They modeled the techniques I needed to learn until I understood, and then coached me to apply the techniques myself with my dog.

In addition, I had many questions along the way about taking care of my dog, and they always listened and responded with helpful information and clear explanations. I had felt a lot of fear and anxiety about dealing with such an emotional little dog; knowing Angela and Lowell were available to me gave me much needed support and confidence throughout our training. And I am equally grateful that they are still there to call on in the future! Thanks Angela and Lowell!"

"Both my mother and I were very pleased with what we and Molly learned in the [Reactive Rover] class. We can already see positive changes in her behavior. On Sunday, Molly and I went to the local [Pet Supply Store], and hung around outside the door, then went in and walked the aisles. Molly came in fairly close proximity (about 2 feet) with 4 different dogs, and all we saw in her behavior was curiosity, which was a great change!"

"Hi Angela & Lowell, Just wanted to say thanks so much for a great class and let you know what AMAZING progress we've made using positive reinforcement. Before your class, we had to keep Bravo completely separated from my boyfriend's cats. Since implementing your techniques these past six weeks, we've been able to integrate all the animals - if Bravo's excitement starts to overwhelm the cats we can call him away with confidence that he'll come to us. Ya'll are great!"
